FAQ's
Do you make the pots yourself?
Yes! Each piece is hand made by myself. My mum sometimes makes pieces too, that I will illustrate. This is a really special process that not many othere artists and makers will get to experience. It also means you can own the work of two artists, for the price of one!
Are the designs hand painted, or transfers?
All of my designs are hand painted with underglaze. This ensures that all of my pieces are totally one of a kind and unique. They go through several transformations before they make it to a pot in many sketchbooks. But sometimes, a pot just speaks to me and I freestyle.
I am hoping to one day develop a line of transfer designs.
Why is your packaging recycled?
I recycle all of my packaging for a few reasons! The first one being sustainability, there is enough packaging on this planet - I don't need to add more to it! The second reason is it keeps costs down which is beneficial to both you and me!
Some of my boxes will have have been handmade from re-used cardboard, made to fit the specific pot. Some boxes will have been donated to me or I will have gathered from other local businesses. I am often asking around for re-useable bubblewrap and keep nice bits of tissue paper safe for later use. Sometimes I have to buy new, which is why I encourage my customers to try to reuse my packaging elsewhere!
Are your cups and plates food safe?
Yes! You can be safe knowing that all of my products are food safe. If a product is noot food safe, I will always include this in the description.
Reasons a piece might not be food safe are: cracks in the piece, the glaze hasn't covered the piece fully, there is no glossy glaze on the piece.
